The CBGA, its Board, Members, Non-Members and/or Agents are committed to conducting themselves in a professional and legal manner that does not reflect negatively on themselves or the association. Members are to conduct ourselves in a manner that:
- Adheres to the professional standards of CBGA;
- Creates good corporate citizenship in all jurisdictions in which we operate;
- Ensures the welfare of the Boer goat is of the greatest importance, and that animals will be treated humanely at all times;
- Treats all members with respect, courtesy, consideration, and compassion;
- Avoids insults, name calling, or use of offensive language that is likely to hurt, offend, or set a bad example for other CBGA or community members;
- To handle our communications, (including those through social media), operations or business transactions in a manner that promotes a positive image for the CBGA;
- Refrain from any conflict of interest or the perception thereof;
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior;
- Honor the core values of integrity, respect, and accountability, as this is at the heart of everything we do;
- Does not discriminate on the basis of; age, disability, economic status, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation;
- Abide by the American Boer Goat Association’s (ABGA) Code of Ethics.
