QPR & Lethal means training:
What is QPR, & Lethal means safety?
QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is an evidence-based suicide prevention program that equips participants with the skills to recognize the warning signs of suicide, engage in supportive dialogue, and connect individuals in crisis to professional help
Why QPR Training Matters:
Empowers Communities: It prepares everyday people—not just professionals—to intervene and save lives.
Fast and Accessible: Training lasts 2 hours.
Proven Impact: Research shows QPR training increases knowledge and confidence in suicide prevention.
As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper, you will learn to:
Recognize the warning signs of suicide
Know how to offer hope
Know how to get help & save a life
Lethal means safety
Refers to the practice of reducing access to the methods or tools someone might use to attempt suicide, such as firearms, medications, or other potentially deadly items.
