    The WA Karate Federation (WAKF) Board warmly invites you to renew your membership for 2025 and continue your journey with our vibrant karate community.
  • As of January 2025, WAKF Membership aligns with the calendar year, covering the period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025.

    To secure your membership, we kindly ask all members to complete the Membership Renewal Form by 10 January 2025.

    Once submitted, an invoice for the $310 (includes GST) membership fee will be issued, which must be paid in full by 31 January 2025.

  • Membership with Karate Australia and membership with the WAKF are mutually dependent.

    A requirement of the WAKF membership in 2025 is that the Member Club must be a member of Karate Australia (KA) or vice versa.

    The WAKF requires the following information to be able to communicate to all relevant personal, place all clubs/centres/dojos on the WAKF website, approval of KidSport applications and for opportunities that may arise for clubs/centres/dojos within certain areas of Western Australia. If you have more than one centre, please fill in the rest of the locations at the end of the form.
  • Data

    The following data is collected and combined with all other club data to provide external stakeholders (such as local and state government) and allows the WAKF to:
    • Demonstrate the importance of karate within the community.
    • Develop a long-term plan of having a WAKF facility for events and training.
    • Have the continuation of use of facilities, such as the Gold Netball Centre.
    • Identify the trends of the sport in WA and gain support for capacity project opportunities.
    • Access funding opportunities in the areas of participation, events, activities, and seminars across all areas of WA.
    • To continue the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) Industry Investment Funding. Without providing good quality data, this current core funding will not exist in the future.
