The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation established in 1946. The membership consists of over 17,000 professional women of color in 299 chapters in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring African Americans' culture and economic survival and other persons of African ancestry.
The Bucks County Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will grant one or more scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 to one or more African-American students who have achieved academic excellence or shown potential, demonstrated leadership, served their high school and community, has the potential to succeed in college, and demonstrates financial need. One or more of these scholarships will be awarded to a student (s) attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). The scholarship(s) will be awarded in May 2025 and be applied to the student's educational expenses for the 2025-26 academic year.
Each applicant must:
• Graduate from high school by August 31, 2025
• Be accepted to a two or four-year college or vocational-technical institution by June 30, 2025
• Have a 2.5 or better (on a 4-point scale) Grade Point Average (GPA)
• Reside in Bucks County or attend, as a boarding student, one of the private secondary schools in Bucks County
