Umpqua Valley Arts (UVA) invites artists to propose exhibitions for our galleries for the 2026 exhibition schedule. Each year, our exhibitions range from solo and small group exhibits to larger calls to artists that fill all of our galleries. Exhibits at UVA rotate every eight to ten weeks throughout the year, and take place across all four of our galleries.
Our three main galleries are The Hallie Brown Ford Gallery, the Corridor Gallery, and Gallery II. These gallery spaces are managed and operated by UVA Staff and are available for local, national, and regional artists to apply for.
The Red Door Gallery is our fourth exhibition space, also managed and operated by UVA Staff, and is reserved for our Artist Members. Exhibits in the Red Door Gallery give our Artist Members the opportunity to share the work they are creating in their personal and professional practices while also providing arts and culture experiences for the community. Artist Members who submit a propsal may also be considered for other gallery spaces.
Our year-round exhibition programming helps to promote emerging, mid-career, and established artists while also providing innovative exhibitions that give viewers the opportunity to learn about and participate in the discourse, dialogue and practices happening with contemporary artists. UVA's Exhibitions Coordinator and Gallery Committee are responsible for jurying/selecting exhibition proposals for all galleries and consider the quality of the work, the narrative and ideas outlined in the artist statement, the size of the body of work, installation requirements, and the social/cultural impact of the work when reviewing submissions.
