    The WA Karate Federation (WAKF) warmly invites you to begin your journey with us as a new member for 2025!
  • WAKF Membership aligns with the calendar year, covering the period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025.

    Once you submit the membership application form, your application will be presented to the WAKF Board for endorsement. Following endorsement, an invoice for the $310 (including GST) membership fee will be issued.

    We look forward to welcoming you into our community, celebrating the rich traditions of karate, and forging an exciting path towards a stronger and more dynamic future together. Join us as we continue to shape the legacy of karate in Western Australia!

  • Membership Eligibility

    Organisations wishing to affiliate with the WA Karate Federation must satisfy the following minimum requirements:
  • The organisation must:

    • Be an incorporated entity, incorporated company, registered business operating under the auspice of a legal entity.
    • the Head of Style has a minimum of a 3rd Dan Grade.
    • Have an active committee / decision making structure.
    • Comply with all state and federal legislation and all WAKF - related policies, including but not limited to member protection (including working with children check) and workplace health and safety and provide evidence as requested.
    • Provide a copy of all requested certificates as part of the new member process.
    • Pay the membership fee.
    • Be a member of Karate Australia (current or registering)
    • Acknowledge acceptance of the Constitution which apply to New Membership Application under the WAKF Constitutionin Rules 5 and 7 and will accept the decision of the WAKF considering my application to be a member

    Upon success of this application the member will be invoice $300 (+GST) for the annual membership (of the year of application).

    The invoice must be paid in the relevant timeframe (as stated on invoice) for the membership to be valid.

  • Please ensure the following has been attached / supplied for your membership to be processed.

    • Dan Grade Certificate of the Head of Style
    • List of Dojo locations and addresses, training times, instructors in charge and their WWC details
    • Insurance Certificate of Currency
    • Business or Incorporation Certificate
    • Constitution (incorporated entities)
