Food Truck Friday

Please fill out this part of the application for Food Truck Friday.
EVENT OVERVIEW

Food Truck Friday is a series event held each year at Fountain Park located in the heart of Rock Hill. On the 3rd Friday in the months of May to September, staff welcomes the community to join in a night of family fun, community engagement, and a variety of food for all ages. We welcome all food vendors to apply and become a part of the City of Rock Hill’s community.

VENDOR FEE
- $250 per date of acceptance
- $25 additional fee for power hook-up
No payments will be accepted if submitted with an application. An electronic invoice will be emailed to you to make the payment along with approved participation dates once the schedule is completed.

SET-UP

Food Truck Friday take place at Fountain Park located at 300 E Main Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730 from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Vendor setup time is set between the hours of 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. Power will be provided as available to any vendors who have requested it. Please be aware that power is limited, and it is suggested that vendors provide their own power if able to (SILENT GENERATORS ONLY). Water hookup will not be provided.

DURING EVENT
- All food items must be stored inside the vendor truck/trailer, covered and off the ground.
- If a vendor is disrespectful to the public, staff, or other vendors, they will be removed from the event and vendor fees will not be returned.
- Coca Cola is a sponsor of all Old Town Rock Hill events. Any bottled/canned drinks sold must be Coca Cola products.
- No distribution, canvassing, nor vending of any kind may be done outside of the vendors assigned space.
- Do not pour ANYHING in drains, on sidewalks, and roadways. Failure to follow this requirement may result in the vendor being removed from any feature events.
BREAKDOWN

Vendors will be required to begin breakdown promptly at 10:00 P.M. LEAVING BEFORE 10:00 P.M. OR STAYING/OPERATING AFTER 10:00 P.M. IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Please ensure that all trash is cleaned up and disposed of correctly. No trash is allowed to be left behind in vendor areas. Improper disposal is grounds for removal of feature events and loss of vendor fees.

EVENT CANCELLATIONS

If the event must be cancelled for any reason, City staff will notify vendors by 2:00 P.M. on the day prior to the event and a vendor fee refund may occur. Cancellation on vendors part for any reason within one week of the event will be considered a violation of this agreement and no refund will be issued.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

(These documents are not required to apply however, must be completed prior to the first Food Truck Friday)
- Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the City of Rock Hill and the Old Town Association as additional insured in the amount of $2 million dollars.
- City of Rock Hill Business License/City of Rock Hill Fire Marshall inspection & Hospitality Tax payments submitted. Information can be found at www.cityofrockhill.com or you can reach out to the business licensing office directly via email at businesslicense@cityofrockhill.com or at 803-329-5590.
- South Carolina Retail License. Separate from a City of Rock Hill Business License, all businesses operating inside the state of South Carolina must obtain a South Carolina Retail License. For information to obtain a SC Retail License, please contact South Carolina Department of Revenue via email at taxregistration@dor.sc.gov or at 803-896-1350.
- DHEC Inspections. Information regarding SCDHEC regulations can be found at SCDHEC.gov or by calling the Environmental Health Manager at 803-909-7373.
- FSE Grease Discharge Permit. This permit can be found at www.cityofrockhill.com/fog or you can reach out to the GMP official at 803-329-8703.

A completed application does not guarantee participation. Vendors will be evaluated upon application on several criteria factors excluded but not limited to, set-up, social media, menu, originality, etc. There are limited spaces for each event and 50+ applications are received. To the best of their ability, staff try to set a schedule that they feel will appeal best to patrons in the City of Rock Hill community while giving equal opportunity to all vendors.

Food Truck Fridays are only for food trucks and trailers. No tent vendors will be accepted for Food Truck Fridays.

Guidelines

Below are guidelines and agreements for Old Town Events and Food Truck Friday.
- The sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited and will result in expulsion from the event.
- The City of Rock Hill and the Old Town Association will not be liable for any lost, stolen or misplaced merchandise or equipment at the event.
- All food items must be stored properly, covered, and off the ground.
- You are required to provide appropriate cleaning material as well as a hand washing station. Potable water is not provided at the event.
- Do not pour ANYTHING in the storm drains. Do not get stains or grease of any kind on the pavers.
- Take your trash with you. Improper trash disposal is grounds for exclusion from participation at future events and loss of participation fee.
- If a vendor is rude or disrespectful to the public, staff, or other vendors, they will be removed from the event. The participation fee will not be refunded.

Do you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Rock Hill and the Old Town Association, its agents, volunteers, elected officials and employees from and against all losses, costs, damages, expense, and liability caused by an accident or other occurrence in bodily injury, including death, sickness and disease to any persons, or damage or destruction to property, real or personal, arising directly or indirectly from Applicant’s operations, products or services at any related event?Do you agree to waive, release and discharge the City of Rock Hill and the Old Town Association, its agents, volunteers, elected officials and employees, of and from any and all claims, demands, costs, liability and causes of action whatsoever that may arise as a result of Applicant’s participation in any related event, including but not limited to, any claims, causes of action, liability, damages, demands and costs related to injury to any of the Applicant’s person or property?Do you agree that this waiver and release shall inure to the benefit of the City of Rock Hill and the Old Town Association and shall bind applicant along with its employees, heirs, legal representatives, assigns and successors in interest of the Applicant or any member thereof?Do you, the applicant, agree to abide by all Rules and Regulations set forth in this registration application?
Applicant shall indemnify and hold harmless the City of Rock Hill and the Old Town Association, its agents, volunteers, elected officials and employees from and against all losses, costs, damages, expenses, and liability caused by an accident or other occurrence in bodily injury, including death, sickness, and disease to any persons, or damage or destruction to property, real or personal, arising directly or indirectly from Applicant’s operations, products or services at Food Truck Fridays at the Fountain.

Applicant agrees to waive, release, and discharge the City of Rock Hill and the Old Town Association, its agents. Volunteers elected officials and employees, of and from all claims, demands, costs, liability and causes of action whatsoever that may arise as a result of applicant’s participation in 2025 Old Town Festivals and events. Including but not limited to, any claims, causes of action, liability, damages, demands and costs related to injury to any of the applicant’s person or property. This wavier and release shall inure to the benefit of the City of Rock Hill and the Old Town Association and shall bind applicant along with its employees, heirs, legal representatives, assigns and successors in interest of the applicant or any member thereof.
