Position Description:
Volunteers will begin the day by checking in at the Harris Community Village and attending a brief program focused on United in Service and the significance of Martin Luther King Day. During this time, breakfast will be provided by Switchpoint Tooele, giving you an opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers.
After breakfast, volunteers will receive a short orientation and be assigned to one of three service areas:
- The Harris Community Village
- Tooele Food Pantry (short driving distance required, 38 S. Main St.)
- Thrift store (short driving distance required, 34 S. Main St.)
Once the service assignments are complete, all volunteers will participate in a brief reflection session at their service site. This will be an opportunity to discuss and share the impact of your service experience with the group.
