2025 Pathways Participant Application

Welcome to Pathways 2025: Nuevas Fronteras -Tijuana!

This year, we will journey to Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, CA for time with Via International and service groups in Tijuana. While in Mexico, we will stay at a retreat center in Tijuana that is run in conjunction with the Diocese of San Diego.

Youth Eligibility: Pathways participants must have turned at least 15 and be no older than 19 by July 6, 2025. Participants should be enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade during the 2024-2025 school year, or equivalent, for students in non-traditional school settings.

We will provide a checklist of items for travel by June 1, 2025.

Application deadline: March 15, 2025

Cost/Participant: $550

Note: You MUST have a valid Passport for this trip. If you do not yet have one, please start the process immediately to ensure you have it no later than May 2025.

Total cost of the trip (including airfare, lodging, and all meals) is $1380 -- the cost to you is $550. The Diocese is covering the difference. Scholarships are available if cost is a barrier, though we ask that you first seek support from your home congregation.

Cancellations, Substitutions, & Transfers:

Space is limited, so before you apply, please be sure when you submit your application that you are available to attend the pilgrimage. If you cancel before March 15, you will get 100% refund. If you cancel between March 16 and May 1, you get a 50% refund. Any cancelations after May 1, 2025 you will not receive a refund.

You may transfer registration to another eligible party if the original participant is unable to attend. Registration transfers and substitutions may be made online by the registrar until May 1, 2025.
