1. Signed contract must be returned to stallion owner with a copy of mare’s registration papers, front and back, and booking fee to guarantee a breeding to stallion. Remaining balance along with any shipping and collection fees must be paid in full before semen will be shipped or mares will be bred on site.
2. First shipment is included in stud fee, additional shipments will be $250 per shipment. The transported semen fee includes cost of collection, processing, and shipping. These fees are subject to increase. Stallion owner and/or stallion station is not responsible for shipping fees if FedEx can’t deliver on time, including because ofbad weather. Stallion owner is not liable for damages during shipment or if the mare doesn’t settle. 3. Mare Owner agrees to return shipping container and all shipping materials to Stallion Station within one week. If container is not returned mare owner is responsible for replacement cost. 4. The mare owner represents the mare is healthy and in sound breeding condition and registered with the designated registration organization. It is suggested to have a culture and breeding exam done before beginning the breeding process. Please provide plenty of time to get all preparations done.
5. You are entitled to a live foal guarantee. Live foal means the foal shall stand and nurse on its own without assistance for 24 hours. It is understood that if a mare proves to be barren, aborts, or if the foal is stillborn, a rebreed will be guaranteed the following year only, providing proper notification is given. Proper notification is a verbal notification within 30 days and a written certification by a licensed veterinarian that the mare has produced a non-viable foal. The live foal guarantee will be void and the stallion owner will be released from all liability if the foal’s death resulted from any omission of the owner.
6. The mare owner must notify stallion owner of pregnancy status within 45 days after insemination. If pregnancy is lost at any time after mare has been confirmed in foal, the mare owner must contact the stallion owner immediately. A rebreed will be given for the current season or following year ONLY providing proper notification was given to the stallion owner.
7. A replacement mare may be substituted if the mare named in this contract is deemed unsuitable for breeding. 8. Breedings purchased through stallion incentive auctions are only good for the year they were purchased.
9. It is understood that should this stallion die or become unfit for service, this contract shall become null and void and the stud fee less the booking fee shall be refunded to the mare owner.
10. A breeder’s certificate will be issued by the stallion owner for each live foal born as a result of breeding services herein provided. All fees and expenses pertaining to this breeding must be paid in full prior to issuance of certificate.
11. It is understood that the mare owner agrees and states that they are fully aware of various risks and perils associated with equine breeding and agrees to indemnify and hold manager or affiliates harmless against any claim, suit, damage, or loss resulting from or arising out of all such operations which are performed under the terms of this agreement I, the below signed, have read this contract, and agree to its contents. All information is true and correct and the above-named mare shall be bred to in the breeding season.
