Sr Dons in St. Michael's College have three main roles within residence:

1) They serve as a Residence Don for one of the residence houses

2) They serve as a team leader for one of the 4 constituencies

3) They serve as a liaison for the Don Team and the Assistant Dean, Residence Life in the Dean's Office

In addition to their regular duties, Sr. Dons provide guidance, coaching, and advice to the Dons in their constituency, assist with Don Training, participate in the Don hiring process, and serve as the first responders for after-hours emergencies.

This unique position requires leadership, diplomacy, and a balanced approach to building community with all members of the residence life team. Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean, Residence Life (ADRL), the Sr. Dons work in partnership with ADRL to create educational and community-building programs that support student development and a spirited residence community.
