AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
Interest Form
ACCF was approached by the AARP Foundation, who is looking for Allegan County host sites for their Senior Community Service Employment Program. Please review the following message from AARP:
"I wanted to share with you the AARP Foundation SCSEP Program. I have attached some forms and information below that discusses our program and what is involved.
AARP Foundation SCSEP consists of individuals that are 55 years old and older, fully unemployed with a modest income. These participants work train 18 to 20 hours per week and can be in the program for up to 48 months while AARP Foundation SCSEP pays them minimum wage of $10.33/hour. Our participants have various skills that we place in non-profits and government entities such as clerical, janitorial, greeters, etc.…The goal of the program is to have the participants build skills and self-esteem to obtain employment in the future.
I have included a Host Agency Agreement Form and the AARP Foundation SCSEP Participant/Host Agency Handbook for your review about our program. Also, I have attached the Host Agency Safety Guide for your review. This is something that I will complete while visiting your organization to make sure it is a safe place for the participants to do their work training."
