Volunteer Area Descriptions
1. Greeters
As a Greeter, you will be the first friendly face our guests see as they arrive. Your role is to welcome attendees with warmth and enthusiasm, direct them to the registration table or the appropriate areas, and help set the tone for a positive, welcoming experience. You will also provide event information and assist with any immediate needs.
2. Registration
Volunteers in the Registration area will assist baptism candidates in checking in for the event. You'll confirm candidate information, provide necessary baptism materials, and ensure everyone is accounted for. Accuracy and a helpful attitude are key to ensuring a smooth check-in process for all candidates.
3. Baptism Escorts
As a Baptism Escort, you'll be responsible for guiding baptism candidates through the process. This includes leading them to the designated areas, ensuring they are prepared and comfortable, and supporting them throughout the ceremony. Your role is vital in helping candidates feel at ease and confident during this important moment.
4. Set Up/Breakdown
The Set Up/Breakdown team plays a crucial role in ensuring everything is prepared before the event and properly packed up afterward. This includes arranging seating, setting up baptismal areas, and ensuring all equipment and supplies are in place. After the event, you'll help with clearing the space, storing equipment, and ensuring everything is returned to its proper place.
5. General Volunteer
General Volunteers are ready to jump in wherever needed throughout the event. Your flexibility and readiness to assist with any task—whether it’s helping direct people, supporting a specific area, or filling in for other volunteers—will help ensure the smooth flow of the event. No task is too small, and your assistance will be greatly appreciated!
