  • Membership Types:

    Primary Lufkin AOR Membership:

    • You must have an active TREC or TALCB License and sponsored by a broker who is a member of LAR.
    • Your Designated REALTOR® / BROKER must be a member of LAR
    • You must submit an application for membership, and pay all Membership Fees.
    • If you are transferring your Primary Membership to LAR, you must upload a letter of good standing from your current association with this application. 
    • You will Pay all Texas REALTOR®, National Association of REALTORS® & Local Dues to the LAR with this membership.
    • You must  take a mandatory New REALTOR® Orientation Class within 180 day of joining the Association or your membership will be suspended.
    • This DOES NOT include Lufkin MLS Access. You will need to also include a MLS membership if you want Lufkin MLS access. You do not have to have this membership to be a member of MLS ONLY.
    • Primary Membership Cost: One Time new member fee $300 + Local Dues $150 = $450. The Local dues will be prorated depending on what month you join. If you have never had TR or NAR membership then Dues to both of them will be added & $50 Orientation fee.

    Secondary Lufkin AOR Membership:

    • You must have an active TREC or TALCB License and sponsored by a broker who is a member of LAR.
    • Your Designated REALTOR® / BROKER must be a member of LAR.
    • You must submit an application for membership, and pay all Membership Fees.
    • You must upload a Letter of Good Standing from your Primary Association.
    • This DOES NOT include Lufkin MLS Access. You will need to also include a MLS membership if you want Lufkin MLS access. You do not have to have this membership to join the MLS ONLY
    • Secondary Cost: One Time new member fee $300 + Local Dues $150 = $450. The Local dues will be prorated depending on what month you join. 

    Lufkin MLS Membership : Participant (Broker) or Subscriber (Agents)

    • You do NOT have to be a member of the Lufkin Association of REALTORS® to be a Lufkin MLS member.
    • You must have an active TREC or TALCB License.
      Your Designated REALTOR®/Broker or Appraiser must be a member with Lufkin MLS.
    • You must have a primary membership with a local Association, NAR, and TR.
    • You must submit an application for MLS Only Subscription Services, provide a Letter of Good Standing from your Primary Association and pay the MLS  membership fees.
    • New Members must attend an MLS Basic Course or elect to take an online class within 90 days of joining. This is a requirement that cannot be waived.
    • MLS COST: One time New Member fee $350 + Quarterly Dues $174.30 = $524.30. Depending on what month you join, your first quarterly dues payment will be prorated. After the initial Payment you will be billed Quarterly $174.30

     

    NEW MEMBER INVOICES WILL ALL BE EMAILED TO YOU, SO THAT YOU CAN CONVIENIENTLY PAY THEM ONLINE, AFTER YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN PROCESSED.

    I understand that membership brings certain privileges and obligations that require compliance, including the following:•

    • I will attend orientation within 180 days of the Association confirming my membership. Failure to meet this requirement may result in having my membership terminated.
    • Membership in the Association necessarily means that I am also a member of the State Association and National Association of REALTORS® and I agree to abide by the Code of Ethics of the National Association, which includes the duty to arbitrate (or to mediate if required by the association), as well as the Constitution, Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Association, the State Association and the National Association. Further, required, I agree to satisfactorily complete the periodic Code of Ethics training and a reasonable and nondiscriminatory written examination on such Code, Constitutions, Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.
    • I acknowledge that as a member of the Association, I will be licensed to use the REALTOR® trademarks to indicate such membership, and I agree to abide by the rules governing use of those trademarks. I understand that REALTOR® is a federally registered trademark of the National Association and use of this designation is subject to rules promulgated by the National Association. Upon termination of my membership in the Association for any reason, my license to use the term REALTOR® is automatically revoked and I will immediately discontinue use of the term REALTOR® and all REAL TOR® trademarks.
    • I acknowledge that the log in credentials that I receive for the Lufkin MLS are to be kept private and are not to be used by anyone other than myself. I understand that sharing this information could result in being fined or my privileges being revoked.
    • Membership is final only upon approval by the Board of Directors and may be revoked should completion of any membership requirement, such as orientation, not be completed within the time frame established in the Association's bylaws.

    NOTE: The duty to submit to an ethics complaint continues in effect even after membership lapses or is terminated. Any ensuing discipline will be held in abeyance until such time as the respondent rejoins an association of REALTOR® (see Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual, Section 20(e)). The duty to submit to arbitration continues in effect even after membership lapses or is terminated, provided the dispute arose while the former member was a REALTOR®.
