Ode to Dallas is more than just a Popping battle—it’s a tribute to the history, culture, and creativity of the Poppers from Dallas and the South. Our event challenges dancers to explore the fusion of Popping with Trap music, honoring the foundation of the style while embracing innovation. It’s a celebration of our roots and a chance to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Street dancers often lack the infrastructure, recognition, and support they deserve. This battle is our way of changing that. By providing a platform for Poppers, we aim to create lasting support and recognition for our community. Beyond the dance floor, we want to engage local businesses, organizations, and artists, fostering a deeper connection with the vibrant artistic scene in Dallas.
Last year, we brought together over 100 people from across the United States and Canada, and we’re determined to make this year even bigger.
But to make it happen, we need your support!
The cost of the event, which was funded through personal savings, comes to around $10,000. Every contribution COUNTS and will directly go toward the event: securing a spacious venue, day-of supplies, cash prizes and trophies, etc.
