2025 Drop-In Participant Registration

Please use this form to register as a NYC Trash Academy Drop-In participant. After registering, you will have the flexibility to complete any or all of our modules at your own pace within a two-month access period.

Our Drop-In option is available for participants that were not able to enroll in our full program or just prefer to explore any or all of the modules at their own pace, without participating in other components of our traditional track. This option is also great for Academy alumni looking to refresh their knowledge, catch up on the latest information, and explore new content.

About the NYC Trash Academy

NYC Trash Academy is a free educational series tailored for New Yorkers and anyone passionate about creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable city. The program explores the far-reaching impacts of waste management on our environment, society, and economy.

The 5th Annual NYC Trash Academy is taught by a diverse panel of waste management experts, featuring seasoned professionals from the NYC Department of Sanitation and NYC Department of Environmental Protection, along with innovative minds from the private sector. Upon completion of the program, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and agency to drive meaningful change in their lives, their communities and the city at large.

NYC Trash Academy Drop-In Program Requirements
Participants will need to complete the following requirements of the NYC Trash Academy Drop-In program in order to obtain a Certificate of Completion.
- Complete the ten on-demand modules (includes two virtual field trips).
- Complete brief assignments for each module.
- Submit a program completion form.
While you may still participate in the NYCTA Drop-In program without fully completing the above requirements, you will not be eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion.
