Making a donation
Holding an event on this scale takes volunteers, as well as resources. If you are able to make a donation, in any amount, it would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in achieving the goals of the event. For reference, the cost of ingredients and materials for a family-size lasagna is $13, a desk is $80, and a bookshelf is $25.

Delivering the goods
We would need volunteers to help deliver the baked goods to our recipient organizations following the event, or the next morning. All are in the MetroWest area.

Liability Waiver

The safety of our volunteers is our highest priority. We work to ensure that the work conditions and equipment on our service projects are safe and reliable. However, on projects such as this, there is an element of risk of accident or injury.  

By participating in the MLK Day of Service event on Sunday, January 19, 2025, I accept upon myself, and on behalf of any minors under my guardianship, that:

In the event or accident or injury to participant/s, I hereby agree to waive, release and discharge any and all claims and liability for damages arising out of any and all personal injury, death or property damage which I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me, as a result of participation in this Service Project. This release is intended to discharge in advance Temple Beth Am, J-LOFT, Volunteer Ventures, Repair the World and its directors, officers, employees, members, other volunteers, and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with my participation in this Service Project, including those arising out of negligence. It is understood that activities such as the ones I will be participating in involve an element of risk and danger of accidents and knowing those risks, I hereby assume those risks and agree not to sue or bring any legal action or claims against Temple Beth Am, J-LOFT, Volunteer Ventures, Repair the World or any other parties involved. It is further agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs, successors and assigns. I agree to indemnify and to hold harmless Temple Beth Am, J-LOFT, Volunteer Ventures, Repair the World and its directors, officers, employees, members, other volunteers, and agents from any loss, liability, damage, cost or expense which they may incur as the result of my death or any injury or property damage that I may sustain while participating in the Service Project.

Media Release

I give permission for pictures, videos, representations, and likenesses of my child's or family's participation to be used in internal, external, informational, and promotional media.  I further understand that it is the policy of J-LOFT, Volunteer Ventures, and Repair the World to only use first name of minors (under 18 yrs) from any media in which that participant appears. 

By agreeing and signing below, this consent will remain in force until such permission is revoked in writing by a parent or legal guardian.
