    Host: Whittlesea Tennis & Pickleball Club

    Format: Mixed Doubles

    Day/time: Sundays 6pm-7pm (could go as late as 8pm if large amount of teams) 

    Registrations close: Sunday 26th January 

    📅 Season Dates

    Commencing: Sunday 1st February
    Season runs: 1st February – approx 28th June (Terms 1 & 2) with no games played during school holidays or on long weekends as dependent on team entries.

    👥 Teams & Numbers 

    Minimum of 6 teams required for the league to proceed. Final league structure will depend on total team numbers:

    Even numbers → all teams play each week

    Odd numbers → rotating byes may apply


    Higher demand → additional court time may be booked to accommodate more teams

    One match per team per week
    3 games
    Games to 11 points
    Win by 2
    Traditional scoring (only the serving team scores points)

    📊 Ladder Scoring & Tie-Breaker

    Ladder Points

    Win → 2 points
    Loss → 1 point

    Tie-Breakers

    If two or more teams finish the regular season on the same ladder points, positions will be decided in the following order:

    First tie-breaker: Game percentage 


    Second tie-breaker: Point differential of all games


    Third tie-breaker: Head-to-head point differential


    Fourth tie-breaker: Point differential against the next highest player/team

    Semi Finals 

    1st vs 4th
    2nd vs 3rd

    Bronze Medal Match

    Losers of the semi finals 

    Gold Medal Match

    Winner of the semi finals

    ✅ Finals Eligibility

    To qualify for finals, a player must have played a minimum of 3 matches during the regular season

    💰 Fees

    $30 registration fee which includes first match fee

    $20 per team, per match, each week thereafter 

    🚫 Forfeits

    Forfeit fee: $40 per team
    The forfeit fee only applies if a team forfeits with less than 24 hours’ notice

    🔁 Fill-In Players 

    Fill-in players may be permitted where required but must NOT be registered to another team in the league

    ✅ Additional Notes

    Teams are encouraged to provide early notice if unable to play. The league reserves ther right to adjust structure or scheduling to ensure smooth operation
