    We need references from two different people who have known you for at least 2 years and have had contact with you within the last 3 months. Neither to be a relative/partner. Here is a list of people you could ask:

    Regulated work with children or vulnerable adults

    The Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (PVG Act)

    The role of a COVEY volunteer is deemed as regulated work with children or vulnerable adults. You are therefore required to disclose all convictions (spent and unspent), cautions, and any relevant non-conviction information.

    Section 1 relates to convictions and cautions.

    Section 2 relates to relevant non-conviction information.

    Should you be successful in being invited to join our training to become a Befriender/Mentor you will be required to complete a PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scheme membership form.
