You are registering for First Friday Art Crawls (FFAC)!!!
Presented by the Downtown Boone Development Association and the Watauga Arts Council, FFAC is a monthly event celebrating art, culture, and community in Downtown Boone. Galleries, shops, and restaurants extend hours past 5 pm to promote local artists, attract art lovers, and invite exploration of the downtown arts scene.
Artist Registration and Vending Guidelines:
Artists registered with the Watauga Arts Council (WAC) may vend in designated areas of Downtown Boone, enhancing the First Friday experience.
All vendors must register with WAC to participate.
Registered artists will receive a laminated vendor sign, which must be displayed when vending. Signs must be picked up from the WAC office at the start of each year or at the time of your initial registration, and are valid from January 1 through December 31.
Artists must RSVP to vend each month. An RSVP form will be emailed a month before each event. Completing this general registration form alone does not confirm participation, but the RSVP form does.
Special Events:
For special First Friday events (e.g., June Boonerang, October Buskers Fest, December Festive), vendors must follow specific event guidelines, which will be provided in advance.
If there are any other changes to general FFAC policies, artists will be notified.
Vending Spaces and Guidelines:
Vending is limited to artistic goods only, beginning no earlier than 4 pm on each First Friday (unless noted otherwise).
Artists must RSVP to reserve their space for specific dates. However, no special accommodations or parking are provided (though parking is typically free after 5 pm).
Vendors must comply with Downtown Boone Ordinances, including Sections 115.04, 115.05, and 115.08.
For full FFAC policies, refer to this linked form. Artists will be notified of any policy changes.
