    We’re looking for great talent you may know in your network! Whether it’s a DVM, Credentialed Technician, Hospital Support, Home Office teammate, or any other candidate, we’re on a mission to connect our network with the best talent in the market. Please use this form to submit your referrals. For proper credit and consideration, ensure all referrals are submitted through this form.

    We celebrate our DVM student program as one of our largest recruitment sources for new graduate DVM hires. Referrals submitted for individuals either currently or previously enrolled in our student program will not be considered valid. The referral should represent the first point of contact between the referred individual and our organization. Additionally, because advocating for our company and its hospitals is inherently part of the role’s responsibilities, Student Consultants & Advocates who submit classmates within their graduating class are not eligible for the referral bonus, unfortunately.

    Candidate Eligibility

    Referred candidates must:

    • Be outside the Mission Pet Health network (current teammates or anyone undergoing the interview process are not eligible).

    • Not have applied to Mission Pet Health within the last year.

    • Meet the essential qualifications for the position.

    • For Specialty Veterinarian positions, candidates must currently be in a Veterinary Residency Program or be Board Certified Specialists.

    Referrals submitted for individuals currently or previously enrolled in Mission Pet Health's student program are not valid. The referral must represent the candidate’s first point of contact with Mission Pet Health.

    Immediate family members and former teammates are not eligible for referral bonuses. Immediate family includes spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, sibling, grandparent, stepparent, stepchild, and in-laws.

    Referrals must be approved by the candidate's start date to qualify.



    Referrer Eligibility


    Both the referring team member and the referred candidate must be employed and in good standing with Mission Pet Health at the time of payout(s).

    The referring team member:

    • Cannot be connected with the hiring decision (e.g., hiring managers, People Solutions/Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Medical Recruitment).

    • Field managers (e.g., RODs, RMDs, and Area Managers) are not eligible for bonuses for referred teammates who directly report to them or are hired at hospitals under their responsibility.

    Only the first employee to submit the referral form will be eligible for the bonus.

    General Policies

    • All referred candidates will be evaluated in accordance with Mission Pet Health's hiring policies and procedures.

    • Information regarding hiring decisions will remain strictly confidential.


    Payout Guidelines

    Bonuses are payable in accordance with Mission Pet Health's payroll practices and subject to applicable deductions.

    Payments are made in installments based on the referred teammate’s continued employment:

    • First installment is paid after 90 days of employment.
    • Second installment is paid after 1 year of employment (if applicable, depending on the bonus).

    Bonus Amounts by Position

    Specialty Veterinarian:

    • $25,000 total
    • $12,500 after 90 days; $12,500 after 1 year.

    Founding Lead Veterinarian:

    • $10,000 total
    • $5000 after 90 days; $5000 after 1 year.

    Associate/Urgent Care Veterinarian:

    • $10,000 total
    • $5,000 after 90 days; $5,000 after 1 year.
    • For part-time positions: $5,000 total ($2,500 after 90 days; $2,500 after 1 year).

    New Grad DVM:

    • $5,000 total
    • $2,500 after 90 days; $2,500 after 1 year.
    • For part-time positions: $2,500 total ($1,250 after 90 days; $1,250 after 1 year).

    Credentialed Veterinary Technician:

    • $2,500 total
    • Paid in full after 90 days.

    Hospital Manager:

    • $2,000 total
    • Paid in full after 90 days.

    Home Office Teammate:

    • $2,000 total
    • Paid in full after 90 days.

    Vet Assistants, Kennel Technicians, Groomers, and Receptionists:

    • $250 total
    • Paid in full after 90 days.

    Additional Notes

    • Bonuses do not apply to internship positions.

    • Only one referral bonus will be awarded per candidate. The teammate who first submits the referral form will be rewarded, provided it leads to a successful hire.

    • Advocacy roles like Student Consultants are not eligible for bonuses when referring classmates within their graduating class.

    • Referrals must be approved by the candidate's start date to qualify.
