The 10th International Cherry Symposium is scheduled to take place in Richland, Washington USA from June 1 to June 5, 2025.
Summerfruit New Zealand (SNZ) with the generous support of The MG Charitable Trust has allocated funding to support a delegation of New Zealand growers (or representatives from grower organisations) to attend this event.
Six grants of $5,000 plus GST are available.
This funding is to assist with expenses related to symposium registration, airfares, and accommodation. Any expenses exceeding this contribution must be borne by the successful applicant.

Should you, or a member of your organisation wish to express interest in securing one of these grants, we ask that you complete and submit the application form provided below.
Conditions for Funding
By submitting this application for funding, the applicant agrees to all information provided being disclosed to the SNZ Board and staff for their review and access.
In addition to this, successful applicants shall agree to the following:
· The publication of their name and photograph in “The Prunings” (SNZ’s e-newsletter)
· Following attendance at the Symposium, preparing a short written report to summarise the insights and knowledge they acquired from the Symposium. SNZ will publish these reports via Prunings and on the SNZ website.
SNZ will allocate a sum of $5,000 plus Goods and Services Tax (GST) to successful applicants. These funds will be disbursed upon the receipt of an invoice addressed to SNZ.
Successful applicants will be required to independently coordinate their registration, accommodation, and flight arrangements.
Application Deadline
The deadline for submissions is Friday, February 28th 2025. SNZ will notify successful applicants by Friday, March 21, 2025.
