    The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) is pleased to open applications for new members from 'Food Retailer' and 'Food Manufacturing' Sectors only to join the existing GFSI Benchmarking and Harmonisation Working Group (BHWG). The application process will close on March 29, 2026 Midnight CET

  • The focus of this group is the development and effective implementation of GFSI Benchmarking requirements(BMR), under the purview of the GFSI Technical Sub Committee, at a global level.

    Members Candidacy and Appointment Process - key aspects

    In line with GFSI Governance Rules, CGF/GFSI member companies are given priority when applying for GFSI Working Groups.

    • Applicants must represent either 'Food Retailer' or 'Food Manufacturer' sectors and represent their organisation only.
    • Applicants must be an active member of the organisation they represent
    • Applicants must also understand- international standards, including ISO, Food Safety certifications, Accreditation. For example, the IAF and IAF MLA regulations, GFSI Governance rules and ways of working
    • Applicants must commit to the behaviour and code of conduct stated in the GFSI Governance rules and be committed to the effective delivery of the working group mandate
