  • Clay County 4-H Scholarship Application

    Must be submitted by March 1, 2025 by 11:59 p.m. for consideration
  • The purpose of this scholarship is to provide post-secondary tuition funds to Clay County 4-H members who have an outstanding record of participation and active involvement in the Clay County 4-H program and are wishing to pursue higher education.

    The funds for this scholarship are provided each year by the Clay County Bankers Association. The number of scholarships awarded each year is dependent upon the number of qualified applicants and is at the discretion of the scholarship review committee.

    Requirements for Eligibility and Disbursement of Scholarship Funds are as follows:

    • Youth must be a currently enrolled Clay County 4-H member and high school senior
    • Youth must be an active member of a Clay County 4-H Club
    • Youth must submit a 4-H record book for the previous 4-H year.
    • Applicants will be asked to participate in a scholarship interview with Extension Staff and Council Members as part of the application process.
    • Scholarship money will be awarded upon completion of the first semester of further education, provided a 2.00/4.00 grade point average is earned during the first semester. Recipients must submit a copy of their first semester grade slip or transcript to the Clay County Extension Office.
  • To be an eligible applicant and recipient of this scholarship, I agree that I have conducted myself in an honest, ethical, and upstanding manner in my daily living. As stated in the Iowa 4-H Expectations of Youth document, I have treated other youth and adults with respect and have been respectful of other's property. I understand my behavior reflects on my family, leaders, club, community, and the entire 4-H program. I understand my scholarship may be reduced or canceled if I fraudulently misrepresent any information in this application or engage in serious misconduct.
