  • Thank you for your interest! Living Free UK works tirelessly on community focused projects to alleviate isolation and marginalization of the Queer Black community and to validate lived experiences of Black LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum, Refugees and Migrants in the UK.

    We are proudly run by a team of passionate volunteers and community advocates and we'd love to hear from you if you are able to spare some of your time.

    What Do You Stand to Gain?
    Although these are an unpaid roles, you will get the chance to work for a cause that makes positive changes to the lives of many.     • How our recruitment works... 

    • You'll have either of two options to apply

      Core Volunteer: Select this type of role to apply as key volunteer at Living Free as advertised on our website (Click HERE for the full role descriptions). As a purpose driven organization, we mostly need volunteer support in the making of initiatives on a project basis. This means we might only need support as our initiative/events approach. 

      Event volunteer: Volunteers on this role would be expected to provide basic on-site event support on face-to-face events and coordinate our growing following and attendees. Successful event volunteers would be invited into a group on standby, informed of approaching events and asked to join closer to the time.

      (This role is recommended for those that might not be able to commit consistently but are happy to help on the spot when an event comes around - with suitable notice)

      Eligibility - You...

      • Must be over the age of 18 years
      • Must be based in the United Kingdom
      • (Ideally) Have access to a laptop or PC
      • (Ideally) Have access to a mobile phone compatible with Telegram App
        Note: All roles are remote unless otherwise specified

      Sign up to join our database of volunteers: Applications are open all-year-round and our team approaches recruitment on a needs basis. We are always looking to fill up roles.
