Oasis Resource Center Volunteer Opportunities

Oasis Center Support: assists with giving tours to youth drop-ins, organizing various rooms as needed, and other miscellaneous office work.Engagement Volunteer: engages with the young adults at the Center, providing a welcoming presence and offering companionship for conversations and games.Tutor: provides academic support and guidance to the young adults at the Center.Card Writer: writes encouraging notes, postcards, birthday cards, or thank you notesHandyman: comes into the Center a couple times a month to make minor repairs and renovations.Event Support: assists with setting up, running, and cleaning up our occasional special events at the Center
Special Event Volunteers

Set-up/Clean-up Crew - assists staff with setting up or cleaning up our special eventsParty Planner - assists in planning and/or running our special events such as workshops, holiday celebrations, or fundraising events
Host Homes & Life Skills Programs

Host Homes Host Family: Host Homes is a program that allows families to open a room in their homes to a college-age young adult in need. Both the family and the young adult are screened and matched with the complete support of FFH along the way.Life Skills Coach*: meets on a regular basis (1-4 times per month) with a young adult to listen as they review their life skills lessons and/or attend life skills workshops at the resource center and coach a young adult participant. *Must be 25 or older.

Tiny Home Volunteer Opportunities

Tiny House Builder: attends construction and assists with building our young adult's tiny house.Lunch Runner: brings lunch for the volunteers and young adults working at the tiny house. Usually about 10 people.
