How to Submit

Application documents can be uploaded below OR emailed to info@meipn.org, OR mailed to Montessori Education Institute of the Pacific Northwest, 19102 North Creek Parkway, Bothell, WA 98011.
Personal Statement

Submit a document (500-600 words) describing why you are interested in Montessori education, what elements of the Montessori philosophy resonate most with you, why you have decided to become a Montessori professional, and why you have selected training at this level.
Observation Reports

Submit TWO typed observation reports, each 2 pages long. Include comments of your observations of the students, the environment, and the teachers in each of the two Montessori classrooms at the level you are applying to study. If currently working in a Montessori school, at least one of the observations must be at a different school.
Recommendation Forms

Submit TWO recommendation forms (download from Resource tab of MEIPN website) from persons who can attest to your interest in children and your maturity, patience, leadership, personal responsibility, and academic competence to handle the demands of a college level teacher preparation course. The two required recommendations must be professional; a third is optional and may be professional or personal.
Official Transcript

From the highest level of your most recent educational institution. Official transcripts are sent directly from the institution. High school transcripts need not be official. Note: Students whose bachelor’s degree was awarded in a foreign country must have their degree evaluated for equivalency to a U.S. degree. See MEIPN Student Catalog for more information.
Previous Montessori Credential (if applicable)

Applicants who received most of their high school and college education outside the United States, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or the United Kingdom are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language. See MEIPN Student Catalog for requirements.
Application Fee

Application fees are determined by the date of receipt of all required materials.

Early Bird $100 until March 15.

Regular (on-time) $200 March 16 to April 30.

Late $250 after May 1 as space allows.

If you are not accepted, MEIPN will retain $100 of the application fee. Note that payments made by credit card may be subject to a 3% fee.
