Introduction:
The Eco Youth Fund for Sustainability, have £33,333.33 to distribute to primarily youth-lead projects which will support the aims of the Just Transition to net zero.
You may have an idea to build or rejuvenate a green space for young people. You may want to simply reduce the carbon emissions of your group. Maybe you’d like to find a way in which you could become resilient to the challenges of climate change or you could think about your group’s future sustainably.
If your project is based in Moray, is primarily youth-led or youth focused, and fits with one of the following criteria then you can apply.
- build or rejuvenate a green space for young people
- reduce the carbon emissions of your group
- build resilience to the challenges of climate change
- improve the future environmental sustainability of your group
- helps to develop green skills useful for life, play or work
You can apply for up to £3000 to buy equipment or materials to make your idea happen or develop an existing project.
Please note we cannot fund posts, activities or trips through this fund.
Eligible projects will then be put to the vote, where voters from secondary school age to 25 years old will decide which projects they believe will offer the greatest contribution towards a just transition to a carbon neutral Moray.
The first 50% of the funds available, £16,666.50, will be open to all, the remaining 50%, £16,666.50 will be prioritised to projects that promote youth leadership (projects that are youth-led).
Please read the separate guidance document in full before making your application. You can find that here
