Auditions for Theatre Charlotte's Violet

Audition Dates: Saturday, January 25th from 1pm to 4pm and Sunday, January 26th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm (by appointment only).

Audition Location: Theatre Charlotte, 501 Queens Road, Charlotte, NC 28207

Auditions will consist of a prepared vocal selection (16 bars or under one minute) and you may be asked to learn a small amount of choreography. An accompanist will be provided.

Performance Dates: March 28 - April 13, 2025 at Theatre Charlotte.

Rehearsals are scheduled to begin February 2nd and rehearsals will be tentatively scheduled Sundays through Thursdays from 6:00pm until 9:30pm but are subject to change during the rehearsal period.

The performance and tech schedule is as follows:

Please list any and all conflicts (work, vacation, school, sports, etc) that you have from February 2nd thru April 13th. Listing a conflict does not prevent you from being considered for a role unless it is during a performance or tech week. *
SCHEDULE YOUR AUDITION

Auditions will be held on January 25th from 1pm to 4pm and January 26th from 6:00-9:00pm at Theatre Charlotte, 501 Queens Road, Charlotte, NC 28207. Please select a 45 minute time slot from the options below. Please have 16 bars or one minute of a song prepared (an accompanist is provided) and be prepared to learn some choreography if asked to. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR AN AUDITION SLOT IF YOU ARE NOT ATTENDING IN PERSON.

VIDEO AUDITIONS: If you are unable to attend auditions or are under between the ages of 12 and 16, please submit a video audition here. Videos should include a short vocal selection (16 bars or less than 45 seconds), a sample of choreography or movement and a 30 second monologue.

This form will only accept the following file types: pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, csv, txt, rtf, html, zip, mp3, wma, mpg, flv, avi, jpg, jpeg, png, gif. If your audition video is in another format, you may email it to auditions@theatrecharlotte.org after you submit this form. Please write Violet Audition in the subject of your email.
