Summer Camp Intern Information
Summer Camp runs from June 9th through June 27th. Interns are expected to be available for all three weeks. Interns arrive/are available on the afternoons of June 4th, June 5th, and June 7th for training, and meetings, and to get prepared for the weeks ahead. Interns are expected to work 35-40 hours a week. Camp runs from 10:00-4:00 PM Monday through Friday with early drop-off (8:30-10:00 AM) and late pick-up (3:00-5:00 PM) available. Interns are not expected to work all these hours. Most days start at 9:00 AM and end around 4:00 PM.
Position Responsibilities:
- Directly assist instructors and campers in the various classes
- Assist with daily check-in and check-out activities
- Supervise and monitor the health and well-being of campers
- Assist with daily camp operations as assigned
- Assist with and/or participate in the final demonstration
Intern Qualifications:
- Available June 4-6th for training
- Available June 9-27th for all 3 weeks of Summer Camp
- A valid form of Photo ID and Social Security Card
- No Criminal Record- all chosen candidates will undergo a background check to qualify them to work with children. (Fee covered by SOA)
- Applicants must be 18 and graduated from High School to apply
- Experience working with children
- Major in vocal performance, music, or arts preferred
