MUSICAL GREETINGS,
This application is for the Young Performer's Showcase as part of the Young Musician's Program Camp-In weekend during the annual Will McLean Music Festival always the second weekend in March.
Should you be chosen to perform, you will be given a 25 minute set in our Showcase on the Adult Azalea Stage and many opportunities to participate in activities designed especially for you throughout the weekend.
It is a long standing tradition that our Young Musician's Program has been honored to be included in both the Opening Ceremony and the Closing Ceremony from the Magnolia Stage (Main Stage).
One of our most popular activities is our Battle of the Band, where we build a band from participant names pulled out of a hat. Bands will chose one of several pre-chosen songs to learn and make their own. Bands will then Battle each other in front of professional musicians who will offer guidence, should you chose it. First Place winners receive an award.
Another popular activity is our Annual Song Collaboration, where you will join your peers to compose a song over the weekend and perform it on the Magnolia Stage during the Closing Ceremony.
We offer workshops and demonstrations designed with young musicians in mind though you may attend any workshop or jam session you choose.
There is a MANDATORY Meet and Greet Breakfast Meeting on Saturday morning at 9:45am. Please keep this in mind as to be able to preform you must attend this meeting and participate in activities during the Camp-In weekend.

NOTE: Should you be chosen you will be receiving more another request for information form and approximately a week prior to the festival a paper ticket. This ticket needs to be turned into the front gate to make the entry process easier and faster for our volunteers.
