The Pulaski County Alumni Chapter of UAPB/AM&N will award scholarships of $1,000 each to deserving students from Pulaski, Saline, and Faulkner Counties who plan to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Our scholarships will cover expenses for one (1) academic year and will be awarded based on criteria listed below:
1) The applicant must be a graduating senior from Pulaski, Saline, or Faulkner County High Schools.
2) The applicant must possess a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of no less than 2.75, based on a 4.0 scale, as well as a minimum composite score of 17 on the American College Testing (ACT) exam.
3) The applicant must declare their intent to enroll at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff during the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants must include a copy of the institution’s acceptance letter OR a copy of the student’s UAPB fall semester schedule.
4) The applicant must upload all of the following documents:
- An official transcript from their high school, showing the cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better
- A copy of official ACT score report
- Two letters of recommendation, one (1) from a teacher or counselor, and one (1) from a community service leader. Letters must be written on official letterhead and signed.
- A photo that will be used on social media and printed publications.
The award shall be disbursed to the UAPB/AM&N National Alumni Office. Upon receipt of proof of enrollment or an official letter from the admissions office bearing the college or university's seal, the chapter shall credit the recipient's student account with 50% of the total award per semester. The second-semester award shall be contingent on the recipient achieving a grade point average of 2.75 or higher during the first semester. It is important to note that failure to adhere to all guidelines shall render the applicant ineligible to receive the award.
