  • Learn the art of perspective in watercolor!

In this online class, I’ll guide you through painting scenes from above, on, and below eye level. You’ll also learn how to sketch and paint a charming structure for each perspective, creating dynamic and engaging compositions.

    What’s Included:

Step-by-step video tutorials of me sketching and painting each structure.
A comprehensive Perspective Primer, covering the three perspectives, eye level/horizon lines, and vanishing points.
A simple supply list with a basic palette and just a few brushes.
Line drawings for each perspective to help you get started if you prefer not to sketch your own—drawing can be tricky, and I’m here to make it easier!
Immediate access to all course content upon registration.
Perfect for artists of all skill levels!

As you paint you will learn different techniques such as wet-into-wet, wet-into-dry, negative painting, gradation and adding final darks in.

  • Supply List:

    • Paint - I would start with these 3 - Cadmium Yellow Medium, Alizarin Crimson, & Phthalo Blue (red shade). If you want to add more colours, I would add Cobalt Blue, Quinacridone Gold, Rose Madder Genuine. Feeling even more adventorous? I would add Phthalo Turquoise to your palette.
    • Brushes - #12 and #5 round, 1/2 - 3/4 inch flat
    • Paper - 1 sheet of Arches or Fabriano 140# Cold Press, 22x30 inches
    • Palette - I use a Robert Wood palette, but there are many different styles out there. You want one with lots of mixing room, don't get too small of a palette. Even plastic plates will work.
    • Towel - I paint on a towel so you want one that is bigger than 11x15 inches.
    • Water Container - I use small plastic food container
