The Client and The Company agree as follows:

 

1. The Services 

A. Townline Farms and Stable, LLC will provide the client with access to one riding lesson per week and one unmounted group horsemanship class per 1 per week.  The riding lessons will be in block format, which rotate between Townline Farms and Stable, LLC. Academy will be closed 6 weeks per year to give the lesson horses a break, allow students to compete at horse shows, to run special events, and even to give riding instructors a break. The weeks that are off will be communicated via the attached calendar and available on our website.

B. Riders will be automatically grouped together with riders of similar ability and level.  This is paramount to our barn culture and philosophy of creating a community that encourages camaraderie, friendship and support.  We feel this leads to higher quality riding, lessons, and just plain more fun.        

C. Beginning riders will start with private lessons until their instructor recommends they are ready to join an appropriate group lesson. 

D. Clients will receive access to a 30 minute quarterly goal setting session.

E. Clients will receive access to the monthly EXPOS at no charge as an included benefit. 

F. Clients will receive priority access and discounted rates to mini-clinics and other events on the farm throughout the year. 

2. Client Requirements

 

A. Client must show up on time.

B. Client must be wearing proper riding attire- boots with heels, a certified helmet, and well-fitting long pants. Weather should be taken into consideration, riders may need snow pants, gloves, etc to participate safely in cold temperatures.

C. Client must be coachable, positive, well-rested, and have a good attitude!

D. We are trying to build a family-like community full of people like YOU, and after the 4th lesson we generally like to ask for the name of 1 person who you would like us to contact and invite to join the program.  

3. Compensation and Payment Terms

Our monthly tuition price is based on the annual value. Client will put a credit or debit card on file, and it will be automatically charged based on the membership level chosen each month for 6 months.  Charges will  processed on the 1st of each month for 6 months and will be automatically renewed after each six month period.  If a client needs to change the membership level, notify Jill Dryke within 14 days of the new 6 month period. If a client needs to change the credit card on file, contact Jill with your updated information.

4.  Scheduling

A. Client will receive a dedicated time and a day of the week where there will be an appropriate school horse and with a group of riders with similar ability reserved each week.  Please remember that TownLine will be closed 6 weeks per year.  

 

B. If client would like to make a long-term change to their dedicated lesson time, they may do so a maximum of 1 time in a 90 day period by contacting Jill.

C. In order to best serve all our clientele, makeups are only allowed with prior approval and at least 48 hours notice of absence. Makeups will take place during another scheduled academy time, but only if there is room in the class. The makeup class may or may not be of equal ability to the class missed.

5.  Cancellation

Riders may only cancel their subscriptions with a 30 day notice, at the end of the six month membership period. We incur very serious year round expenses to maintain our lesson horses and we are looking for students who can make a commitment to our program similar to the commitment we make to our students. 

 

6.  Additional Academy Services

All services outside the scope of this agreement that are requested by the client and which the company agrees to perform will be invoiced and automatically charged to the credit/debit card on file at the time of service with the following rates.  Below are the rates for additional services outside of this agreement as of April 2024. Prices subject to change.  Additional services outside of the school are scheduled as available.

Use of a Lesson Horse for PlayDay/Special events: $50 (with management approval only based on level and ability ($30 for leadlined riders)

Additional private lesson:  $75 

Additional opportunities for Academy-only camps

7. Horse Shows

Townline Farms and Stable, LLC is happy to offer on-site shows, and does not participate in offsite shows with lesson horses. Client may lease an Academy horse for an on-site show, depending upon availability. Some clients lease up to a year prior to a show to hold their spot.  These reservations are first come, first served. If for some reason the client cancels or changes their mind- the lease fee is non-refundable.  The lease fee must be paid at the time of reservation.  All horse-show related fees are due at the start of the event, pre-registration will be made available when possible. 

            All leases remain at the discretion of management, and must be booked through Jill.

Horse show fees include:  

Coaching Fee:  $100 per day/student           

Horse Use Fee:  $100 per day

8. No Guarantee

Townline Farms and Stable, LLC does not warrant or guarantee any specific level of performance or results.  The results of your riding program are largely based on the efforts of the student. 

9.  Communications 

A. Please note that instructors usually do not have time to discuss client goals and concerns during lesson hours.  Please schedule a goal setting meeting to make sure there is a good time set aside for these conversations.  

B. Client agrees to communicate all scheduling requests or any other concerns about the program to Jill.

10. Release of Liability

I acknowledge the risks and potential for risks of horseback riding and activities in and around a facility where horses are kept and farm machinery operated.  However, I feel that the possible benefits to me/my son/my daughter/my ward are greater than the risk assumed.  Intending legally to bind myself, my heirs, and assigns, executors or administrators, I hereby waive and release forever all claims for loss or damages of any kind against Townline Farms and Stable, LLC and their assigns for any and all injuries and losses that I/my son/my daughter/my ward may sustain while participating.  This release includes without limitation the risk of negligent instruction and supervision.  I engage in activities at 6556 Morris Thomas Rd, Cloquet, MN 55720 voluntarily with knowledge of the risks and I assume all risks of injury, death, and property damage that may result.  I agree to bear any loss myself.  I acknowledge that Townline Farms and Stable, LLC and their assigns are materially relying on this waiver and assumption of risk in allowing me/my son/my daughter/my ward to participate in activities at 6556 Morris Thomas Rd, Cloquet, MN 55720.

Townline Farms and Stable, LLC is not responsible for lost, left behind, and/or stolen items.
