The 0-5 census data is used for preschool class lists and upcoming kindergarten classes, as well as other useful projections.

Open Enrollment allows for NORTH DAKOTA students to enroll in another North Dakota school district other than the student's district of residence.

Student's living outside of North Dakota do not qualify for Open Enrollment.

A Minnesota resident would be required to pay tuition to attend Richland #44 School District, equal to the value received for Foundation Aide (currently around $11,000/student per year).

Open Enrollment - North Dakota
Open enrollment allows for families living outside of the Richland #44 Public School District attendance boundaries to apply for acceptance at a Richland #44 school.

The deadline to submit an application for consideration of Open Enrollment is the end of the last day working day of February (i.e., February 28, 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year).

This deadline is WAIVED for families who have recently moved, but must be submitted within 30 days of moving.

*Please note: Transportation is not a guarantee for open enrolled students and will likely not be available. When applying for Open Enrollment into the Richland #44 School District, you will be asked to acknowledge acceptance of this statement.
