2024-2025 Brownsburg Winter Guard Member Registration
This registration is required for all members (Cadet Guard, A Guard, and Open Guard) of the Brownsburg Winter Guard Program.

Registration should be completed by December 13 for A and Open Guard, and by December 20 for Cadet Guard.

NOTE: Registration is NOT COMPLETE until:
1. The first payment has been made (due December 13 for A and Open or December 20 for Cadet).
2. This registration form is completed and submitted. It includes the Financial Agreement form and the Commitment Form.

Student/Parent Commitment Form
Both my child and I have read and understand the rules and regulations for membership of the Brownsburg High School Winter Guard Program. He/She has my permission to participate in this elective course and extracurricular activity which requires regular attendance outside of the normal school day and on weekends. This activity also has commitments during the school day - 7th period guard class - for A Guard and Open Guard. He/She will meet the eligibility criteria, attendance requirements, and behavioral standards listed in the band handbook. Reminder: should attendance requirements not be met, a student will be asked to NOT perform, be moved to a different guard and/or be removed from the winter guard program entirely.

The student agrees - and I (as the parent/guardian) affirm - that he/she will abide by the provisions stated in the Marching Band/Guard Handbook. The student and I understand that while participating in a school sponsored event, school policy guidelines will be enforced. Students who behave inappropriately will face disciplinary action as outlined in the Brownsburg High School Student/Parent Handbook.

Brownsburg Bands desires to help students display their talents in the public arena through publications, photos, video, art display, and other media means. The intent of Brownsburg Bands is to spotlight the students of our school in an appropriate and positive manner. The student and parent(s) are requested to provide BHS and the Brownsburg Band & Guard Program permission to release the student ’s work, talent, and other information before such displays are made. All band and guard members have a unique talent in the performing arts.

The student's talent, work and/or information may be released in the following manner: Various forms of print and electronic media throughout the course of the upcoming season. These may include, but are not limited to, photos or videos of my student on Brownsburg Bands various social media outlets, the Brownsburg Band/s website, and/or on the band's public photo/video sharing page.

Brownsburg Band and Orchestra Parents, Inc. (BBOP) Marching Band Financial Obligation Agreement
By participating in the Brownsburg Winter Guard Program you are entering a financial contract with BBOP, not with Brownsburg Community School Corporation.

It is the goal of the band program to offer the best opportunities for your child, the regular payment of fees is essential to the band program’s overall functioning. It is never the goal of the program nor BBOP to limit participation due to financial hardship. However, we MUST ask that all families do their part for the continued success of the Brownsburg Band program.

I will speak with a director to develop a payment plan OR seek scholarship assistance. (Note: Scholarship assistance is not available for optional trips)
I recognize that not paying guard fees has a negative impact not only on my own student, but also on the other students, guard staff, and other families by limiting resources and opportunities.*
