Thank you for sharing information to help other councils on their way to efficient and low carbon facilities! We are interested in your information regardless of whether you were successful or not.
Those who provide details of their Round 1 projects (either via attachments or within the survey) will go into the draw to win a 100% Electric Facilities Desktop Assessment of all your small to medium gas facilities.
Why do we want this information?
We aim to share useful insights with other councils planning efficiency, low-emissions, and electrification projects and for those considering CEUF Round 2 applications.
These insights will not replace the need for tailored feasibility studies for specific projects, but will offer a starting point to guide other local governments. Access to details like your facility’s energy use, potential savings, and CAPEX/OPEX figures could provide critical information and install the confidence needed to embark on similar projects.
What will we create?
We can keep your council anonymous if preferred. With your input, we aim to:
- Develop a web article and webinar summarising what made winning grant applications successful and the technologies that were proposed for Round 1 (both those that won and those that didn't)
- Produce a report with key data: energy spend, savings (energy and cost), capital and operational costs and technology capacity comparisons
- All materials will be anonymous
Who will see it?
Primarily, this will be shared with councils and, where permission is provided, relevant groups like the Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity (A2EP), Sydney Water, YMCA, and other aquatic centre operators. There is opportunity for you to indicate who should or shouldn’t access the detailed anonymised results.

Ironbark Sustainability recognise that the CEUF documents and information within them that you choose to share are your property. No part will be shared or reproduced beyond the figures profiled in this survey about the new technologies, and this information will be anonymous.
100% Electric Facilities Desktop Assessment
Ironbark will randomly select one respondent to receive a 100% Electric Facilities Desktop Assessment for small to medium-sized gas sites. Using billing and equipment data you provide (e.g., gas stovetops, ovens, hot water systems, and heating), the assessment will deliver high-level indicative costs, savings, and payback periods for replacing gas equipment with electric alternatives, and the feasilibility of installing solar panels. It will also include a comparison of costs between recommended technologies and like-for-like replacements, along with suggested replacement options. This assessment will help you understand the business case and prioritise works effectively.
