Accessible Events are looking for fun and enthusiastic Access Team Volunteers for several shows across the UK. These include Noisily, Lytham Festival, Boardmasters, Truck, Forwards Festival, Waterworks, Gone Wild, and Love Saves The Day to name a few.
WHAT DO THE ACCESSIBILITY TEAM DO?
The Accessibility Team is responsible for making sure that all d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent customers have an enjoyable experience whilst at the event.
Team members will gain a unique insight into how accessibility is approached and dealt with at large-scale music events. This will allow individuals to understand the basics of Attitude is Everything's Live Events Charter, which is considered the standard structure for accessibility across the music industry. The above shows are working towards Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum awards.
To help us achieve this, we need committed, focused and fun individuals who work well independently and as part of a team. The role incorporates a variety of tasks and the ability to be flexible with a smile. It is aimed at anyone interested in working in the events industry or those who would like to dedicate their time and skills in exchange for a ticket to a show whilst doing a good thing.
This is a voluntary role, which means that you will not be paid, but you will get a free festival/event ticket plus the use of other facilities on-site in exchange for completing your shifts. If you are also interested in paid roles (these occasionally come up depending on the show), please tick the box at the end of the form to express your interest, and if you have a CV or anything else you would like to upload, please do).
Volunteer Bonds:
For each show you successfully gain a place, we will ask for a fully refundable Volunteer Bond to secure your spot. This will be between £50 - £175, depending on whether it is a day or camping festival. This will be fully refunded after you have completed your allocated shifts. More information will be sent out when you have been offered a place. (Please contact teams@accessible-events.co.uk if you have questions before applying.)
