Tiny Magic Orchestra
Tiny Magic Orchestra is a chamber concert designed specifically for school halls or village schools with limited access to live performances.
Presented by Charly Jolly, along with two musicians from Britten Sinfonia, Tiny Magic Orchestra immerses children in a vibrant musical adventure, using an innovative setup that combines live performance and creative storytelling.
Through this engaging experience, children explore different cultures, environments, and even outer space, all while learning about the power of music and its ability to transport them to new worlds.
Suitable for EYFS, KS1, and KS2, the performance is about 50 minutes long and will take children on a magical musical journey, featuring a wide range of music by women and global majority composers, and a portable theatrical set.
Dots & Lines
This interactive concert explores the connections between the visual and the aural - with the curious, questioning, soaring melody line of our cello following, conversing, and dancing with the artworks.
Presented and led by workshop leader, composer, and trombonist Raph Clarkson, children will have the opportunity to sing, move, compose, and improvise in this colourful and playful performance, with famous artworks of the late 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries enhanced by original illustration and animation from Victor Craven.
This performance is most suitable for KS2, but it will be equally accessible to KS1.
