  • If you wish to serve alcoholic beverages at your exhibit booth, please note that prior approval from Show Management is required. By submitting this form, you agree to the terms and conditions set by TIPA and the Marriott Marquis Houston. 
     
    Requirements for Serving Alcohol On-Site: 

    • Form Submission: Submit the completed form to hotel management by March 15, 2025.
    • Insurance: Exhibitors are required to maintain full insurance coverage and have a certificate of insurance (COI) available in their booth. The COI must include the hotel details as shown in the provided example. Coverage must remain valid through April 17, 2025.

    Alcohol Service Rules and Regulations: 

    • Alcohol Purchases: All alcohol must be purchased through the Marriott Marquis Houston. Bringing in your own alcohol is not permitted. 
    • Sample Sizes: Samples are limited to 1/4 oz of distilled spirits, 1 oz of wine, and 2 oz of beer. 
    • Bartender Requirement: Only bartenders contracted through the hotel caterer may serve alcohol. A TABC-certified bartender must handle all alcohol service—guests are not allowed to serve themselves. 
    • Timing Restrictions: Alcohol cannot be served during exhibit set-up or tear-down. 
    • Booth Boundaries: Alcohol may only be served within your booth space, and bar lines must not extend into the aisles or block neighboring booths. 
    • Prohibited Sales: Cash bars and the sale of tokens for cash are not allowed. 
    • Age Restrictions: No one under 21 may be served alcohol. 
    • Authority to Deny Service: Show Management and bartenders are authorized to deny alcohol service to individuals who appear intoxicated, disorderly, or underage.

  • You must carry general liability coverage from an insurance company in good standing with minimum policy limits of US$1,000,000 per occurrence and US$2,000,000 aggregate. The Marriott Marquis Houston, Houston Convention Center Hotels, Marriott International, Inc., and Marriott Hotel Services, Inc should be named as additional insured.  This insurance must be in force during the lease dates of the event, April 10-12, -2025. If you already shared your certificate of insurance, make sure to also have a copy of it on hand in your booth, if you haven't sent it to us please send it to victoria.musali@marriott.com.
