    • The title of your session should communicate the subject of your session briefly and clearly. Maximum 100 characters.

    • Please review the format guidelines carefully. We will decline proposals that do not satisfy a format’s stated requirements.

    • The abstract will serve as the public description of your session in the online program, and should be addressed to prospective attendees. Clearly introduce your session in the first 1-2 sentences, and then continue to describe what prospective attendees should know about your session, including what will be covered and what their main takeaways will be. Maximum 1500 characters.

    • Which attendees will find your session most relevant to their work, and be able to apply or act on the material you present? (Refer to the expected attendee profiles mentioned in the Call for Proposals.) Maximum 100 words.

    • Use the following space to provide additional details about your session that will help the reviewers evaluate it according to the criteria in the call for proposals.

      • You may include more details on how your session will be structured to achieve its proposed learning outcomes, and how the content aligns with the call for proposals and its chosen format.
      • For all formats, describe what the practical takeaways will be for attendees (and for “Guided practice workshops”: also describe the concrete product).
      • For the “Guided practice workshop”, you must include an outline of the session’s structure, including what will be covered and approximate, but realistic, timing.
      • For the “Fishbowl discussion” format, you must list all potential “fish” (names, titles, institutions, relevant expertise/experience).
      • For the “Interactive session” format, you must include an outline of the session’s structure, including what will be covered, how the audience will be engaged throughout the session, as well as approximate, but realistic, timing. Note that you must also submit a draft proposal by 24 January and attend a subsequent feedback meeting.

    • AMICAL will use the information you provide on this form to organize the event, as described in our Privacy Policy. We will share information with event organizers within AMICAL for the same uses. We will use your contact information to send you updates about this event and other AMICAL initiatives you may find of interest.

      To help keep your institution’s AMICAL representative informed of local colleagues’ involvement in AMICAL activities, we will share with them basic information about your proposal (title, speaker name, title, role, institution).
