Please confirm the following requirements for adopting a cat:
I understand that the cat cannot be declawed. Declawing the cat will result in it being removed and possible charges for animal cruelty. Providing multiple textures of safe scratching areas for you cat is super helpful!
In the event you can no longer keep the cat, the animal is to be returned to Anndrea Oxendine. - Will you agree to sign a no-resale contract stating that the cat can not be given away, sold, rehomed, or otherwise leave your care without written permission from Anndrea Oxendine.?
I am adopting this cat/kitten solely as a companion and family pet, and will not use it for fighting, medical experiments, or sacrificial purposes.
I understand that the cat must be monitored around any pets currently in my home. It takes time to adjust and accidents happen.
I understand that the cat will need to be given time to decompress - are you aware that litter box training takes time and your new cat may have accidents when first moving to your home?
I assume responsibility for the cat/kitten and agree to a.) Supervise children when around the cat, b.) Obey all animal ordinances, and c.) To provide proper food, fresh water, adequate shelter, and veterinary care when necessary. I also understand rabies vaccination is required by SC state law for all cats.
Your new cat will need an adjustment period in their new home - this can take 2-8 weeks. Any current animals in the home may need to be separated from the new cat while everyone adjusts to the new house mate - do you have a space for your new cat to rest away from other animals? If so, describe your set up for the cat.
