The Youth Filmmaker Series is a NEW workshop series designed specifically to empower young filmmakers with all the tools and technical knowledge they need to tell the impactful stories that are important to them. This series is comprised 5 workshops that will cover the fundamental concepts of filmmaking and storytelling.
In fourth workshop in our Youth Filmmaker Series students will get familiar with everything they need to know to light their scenes! This workshop covers lighting techniques for interviews, portraits, and scenery, students will learn how to maximize their lighting resources to get the best out of their locations. Use natural light to get a professional and clean look for your interview, utilize basic lighting techniques, or discover how to adapt when you do not have access to the perfect lighting kit.

- 9:30AM - Types of Lights
- 10AM - Three Point Lighting
- 11AM - Lunch
- 12PM - Light a Scene
- 1PM - Office Hours (optional)
Office Hours is an optional time (60 minutes) at the end of the workshop for youth filmmakers to get individual feedback and instruction.
*PARTICIPANTS MUST 18 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER*
All workshops have a suggested registration fee of $100, however we do offer a sliding scale, pay-what-you-can model for those who need that option.
