A load management switch on qualifying equipment by a Central Georgia EMC employee. If an LMS cannot be installed on the air-source electric heat pump or water heater, the equipment is not eligible for the residential rebate. The load management switch must remain on equipment and in operating status as long as CGEMC has a load management program. Limit one (1) qualifying water heater and one (1) qualifying heat pump rebate per member/household. To qualify for the rebate, the heat pump and/or water heater must have been installed on or after January 1, 2025. Rebates are paid by check.
In addition to the residential rebate for your participation in the load management program, you will receive a bill credit of up to $30 in November ($20 for HVAC/mini-split, $10 for water heater). Rebates are subject to change without notice. This rebate program ends on December 19, 2025.
