The FCACC-SEC Preceptorship is an international clinical experience that aims to have Florida Chapter Members: FACCs, Associate Fellows, CVTeam Members (NP, RN, PharmD, PA) who are currently in practice, in Florida, (private/academic/hospital-based) learn about the health system in Spain, immerse themselves in Spain's rich culture and history, and observe the latest technologies and therapies in the hospital setting.

Details to know before committing to the program:

• You need not speak Spanish; all hospitals are expecting English speakers.
• Only a limited portion of travel costs are included. See below.
• The chapter will host a reception in Madrid and tour at no cost to participants. Spouses and guests are welcome at the reception and tour at no charge.
• FCACC will coordinate a block of rooms at a hotel in Madrid and Córdoba.
• In each hospital a member of the SEC will act as your host, mentor and plan your experience. The hospitals are very enthusiastic about the program.
• There is also time bult in to see Madrid and Córdoba. If you want to see more of a given place it is suggested to build time into the front or back end of the schedule below.
• Once your form is submitted, you are assigned a tentative slot in the program. The program has a limited number of slots. On or before March 3, 2025 you must submit a copy of your travel itinerary to the chapter office. This will secure your seat.

June 8	Morning Explore the city of Madrid in the morning   Afternoon Group tour of one of the Museums/Neighborhoods (guests invited)   Evening Group Dinner (guests invited)
June 9	Morning Delegation travels to the Casa del Corazón for educational event and meeting of SEC Leadership.   Afternoon Enjoy the city at your leisure   Evening Reception with the entire delegation & guests at the Madrid Edition
June 10	Morning Delegation travels to Madrid Hospital for Clinical Experiences   Afternoon Delegation travels to Córdoba via high-speed train AVE; check in to hotel   Evening Delegation Dinner
June 11	Morning Delegation travels to Hospital for Clinical Experiences   Afternoon/Evening Enjoy the city at your leisure
June 12	Formal programming concludes Travel to other destinations/Back to US

         

Financial Responsibilities

 

FCACC Provides:

• Reception, Two Dinners
• One night hotel in both Madrid & Córdoba (remaining night will be responsibility of member)
• Travel to and from hospitals and Casa del Corazón

 

FCACC Members Responsible For:

• All flights
• Train to and from Córdoba
• Other meals and incidentals
• Remaining nights in Madrid and Cordoba

 

A tentative slot will be assigned upon receipt of this completed form.

 

On or before March 3, 2025 you must submit a copy of your flight itinerary to the chapter office. Once this is sent your seat is permanently assigned and the SEC will start the process of assigning you a mentor.
