  • Additional Financial Need Documents

The goal of the EDAP internship program, based on the wishes of the donor, is to provide paid internships for students from the five local higher education institutions who have financial need or would otherwise not be able to engage in work-based education if they were unpaid internships.

The primary way that we measure financial need is through receipt of a Pell Grant. If you are not a Pell Grant recipient, you must be able to substantiate your financial need through one of the ways below:

    (1) Provide proof of the receipt of other need-based scholarships you have received.

    (2) Write a letter (no longer than 1 page) that details your extenuating circumstances or a lack of outside/family financial support for college and related expenses.  Please also attach a pay stub (if applicablee) for a job or work-study position that supplements financial assistance

    (3) Ask your institution's Registrar and/or Financial Aid Officer to provide a written statement that you have received financial assistance.
