The Awards Committee of JAINA is proud to announce the JAINA Global Awards. These prestigious awards recognize and honor Jain individuals worldwide who have made exceptional contributions to promoting Jain principles and values.
Eligibility
The awards are open to Jain individuals (Shravaks and Shravikas) who have made outstanding contributions in areas such as:
- Non-Violence & Peace
- Compassion (Jiv Daya)
- Education
- Environment
- Humanitarian & Medical Aid
- Social Services
- Jain Art & Literature
- Interfaith Initiatives
- Community Welfare
- Vaiyavacch (Service to Monks/Nuns)
- Tirth Development or Restoration
- Other Efforts Promoting Jain Principles
Candidates must demonstrate exemplary ethical and moral standards aligned with Jain values and lifestyle.
Evaluation Criteria
Candidates will be assessed based on:
- Dedication: Time, resources, and personal contributions to spreading Jainism.
- Leadership & Innovation: Demonstrated leadership and innovative efforts with measurable impacts.
- Collaboration: Effective partnerships with JAINA, governments, and other organizations to create widespread positive change.
- Interfaith Outreach: Active involvement and Initiatives enhancing the visibility of Jainism in non-Jain communities.
- Achievements: Previous awards, recognitions, and accomplishments.
Selection Process
- Biennial Awards: Conferred every two years (odd years).
- Number of Awards: Up to five recipients.
- Nomination Process: Jain organizations/Centers worldwide may recommend up to two individuals using a Recommendation Form.
- Submission Deadline: February 28, 2025
- Candidate Information: Based on information received through the Recommendation form, the Awards Committee will select potential candidates, who will be requested to submit their consent and more details about their contributions and achievements.
- Submission Deadline: March 15, 2025
- Committee Decision: Awardees will be selected based on established criteria. The decision of the Awards Committee will be final.
- Announcement: May 15, 2025
- Recognition: Awardees will be featured in the JAINA Souvenir, social media platforms, and the website.
Awards Committee
The Awards Committee consists of Dr. Kokila Doshi - Chair, Mr. Raju Shah, Mr. Sanjay Gandhi, Mr. Piyush Mehta, and Mr. Yogendra Bobra. As in the past, we have a separate Youth subcommittee who will send their recommendations for Youth Awards to the Awards Committee. The members are Dr. Kokila Doshi - Chair, Simmi Nandu, Kriti Shah, Anish Doshi and Mishi Jain.
Award Presentation
The JAINA Global Awards will be presented at the 2025 JAINA Convention in Chicago, USA, during the July 4th weekend. Recipients can accept the awards in person or virtually.

JAINA-The Federation of Jain Associations in North America- an umbrella organization representing 72 Jain centers and 200,000 members across the U.S. and Canada, is the largest Jain organization outside India. Its mission is to preserve, practice, and promote Jain Dharma and lifestyle through education, humanitarian efforts, and community service.

Instructions: This form must be completed by the Head of Jain Organization.
Each Organization/Center can recommend up to two individuals.
