RATINGS

Ratings for elgibility and pairings will be the lists of 1 April 2025.

For those entering rating-limited sections before 1 April, if following publication of the 1 April 2025 list(s) you are no longer eligible for the section entered, you will need to change section. Should you not wish to play in (any of) the section(s) for which you are then eligible and wish to withdraw, we shall be sorry to lose you but will make a full refund of the entry fee paid.

ALL sections will be ECF rated.

The following sections will be FIDE rated:

- Rapid FIDE Open
- Rapid FIDE and ECF U1700
- Congress FIDE Open
- Congress FIDE and ECF U1900

ECF Membership

The former ECF Membership category Silver is discontinued, having been merged with Gold. The cost of Gold membership has been reduced from £39 to £35.

All entrants must be ECF Gold members or better. Bronze members should upgrade to Gold before entering. Non-Members should join at Gold level or better before entering.

Rolling memberships: Entrants' ECF membership must be current on the first day of the tournament they enter (Thursday 17 April 2025 for the Rapid, Friday 18 April 2025 for the Congress.) Note that memberships run for a year and expire on the 1st day of the month in which they were taken out. E.g. a membership taken out on 18 April 2024 will expire 1 April 2025. Check your ECF rating record for your membership expiry date.

ENTRY FEES

Rapid all sections: £32

Congress (7-Round sections): £48

ECF Pay to Play Fee*: ADD £15 (Juniors £6)

* Payable by ECF non-Members ONLY who wish to remain non-Members.

FIDE ID CODE

Entrants to FIDE-rated sections must be FIDE registered. Players who are not registered should leave the FIDE ID Code box blank and select the appropriate option from the box which follows it.

DISCOUNT COUPONS

One only of the following concessions, where applicable, may be applied for the deduction of 5% from the above Entry Fees. Enter the Coupon Code (shown in bold) in the Payment options below when using Payment method "Card payment via Stripe" (coupon box appears just before credit card details). If you are entering the Rapid and a 7-Round section, the coupon will be applied to both Entry Fees.

Discount coupons do NOT apply to the ECF 'Pay to Play' Fee nor to Donations.
