This year we commemorate the 76th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The 10th December is observed as Human Rights Day internationally and declares that all humans are free and equal regardless of race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, or other status. In this regard, awareness campaigns and events are being organized locally and internationally to promote human rights.
The Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR), one of the leading organizations in human rights education, invites you to a panel discussion, on the 17th of December, between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., at the Home for Cooperation, to acknowledge and discuss the role of women in advocating for human rights through education, in the Cypriot context. The panel will discuss women’s experiences in standing up for human rights, the challenges and accomplishments, as well as ways forward.
