University of Delaware Press Book Awards Request Form
Please use this form to submit your requests for awards for your book to be submitted to (MAXIMUM OF 3). This includes separate awards from a single organization. Submit a separate form for each award. UDP provides 10 gratis copies for awards; beyond that, we ask authors pay for additional copies at the 50% discount. If the limit is surpassed, the awards coordinator will reach out to you to arrange payment. The University of Delaware Press DOES NOT PAY ENTRY FEES. Authors will be contacted to arrange payment for awards that require entry fees. If there are no clear, up-to-date guidelines available online for how to submit to the award, UDP will be unable to complete your request. When checking eligibility for awards, please be aware that books with a publication date between October and December are given the next year as copyright. For example, a book published on 10/14/2020 would have a 2021 copyright year. This is standard publishing industry practice. If you are new to academic publishing and/or need some ideas of places to nominate your book, please let us know – although we do not have time to do individual award research for each book, we may have some ideas of avenues to investigate.
